5 Harsh Truths About life
I have lived life for more than 30 years. And I have witnessed a lot of changes in the world outside and the world inside me. Switching careers, falling in and out of love, working hard, coming out of my insecurities, facing failures and rejections, and working on my skills has made me the person I have become today.
In this journey called life, I have seen there are lots of truths. These truths are hard to believe. It takes courage, determination, and perseverance to accept these truths in your life. However, once you choose to accept these truths in your life, it will become a smooth journey ahead.
So, today, I will be sharing five harsh truths about life that I realized much later in life. I hope this blog helps you in getting a much clearer picture of yourself.
1) Never delay things because you want to achieve perfectionism
We often delay things because we think we are not “Perfect.”
But, the truth is that PERFECTIONISM is a myth! Many people come to me and say, “Sir, I want to record videos, I want to share my thoughts with the world. But, first, I want to become PERFECT!”
I have been creating content for more than 10 years now, and I am still not PERFECT! Because if you keep waiting for perfectionism, you will keep waiting till your death.
You need to start today! There is no right time, no right day, no right moment!
2) Don’t seek a comfortable life
Staying in your comfort zone will never bring GROWTH!
When I was in school, I was always in my comfort zone. I never participated in anything where I had to show myself in front of a crowd. I preferred to be a part of the audience. But, when I joined college, I started doing things that made me uncomfortable. I participated in debates, dramas, and speaking challenges. This led to me becoming a Public Speaking Coach and a content creator!
If you want to achieve great things in life, you will need to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Take risks and try new things!
3) Expectations is really hurtful
No one owes you anything!
No one owes you a reply.
No one owes you a job.
No one owes you a favor.
I also thought that people around me should help me achieve my goals. I thought my senior should give me a role in the drama event. I thought people around me owe me. But that’s not the case.
If you want something, you need to show how you can bring value to their life!
4) Ideas are important but the execution is SUPREME!
Having a great idea is not enough, you need to be out there and execute them too!
When I was young, I had many ideas, from setting up my cafe to writing a book. But, I never acted upon my plans. I never implemented them in my life. In the end, I was only left with ideas.
Now I realize that having a great idea is not enough; I need to take action to convert them into tangible things. Or, you will see someone else execute your idea. All you will say is, “I got the same idea!”
5) You need to forgive yourself first!
Forgive yourself if you made a mistake.
Forgive yourself if you made the wrong decision.
Forgive yourself if you chose the wrong person.
Accepting YOURSELF is the first step towards SELF-AWARENESS!
